It’s here! Another Thanksgiving Day has arrived. Sure we should be giving thanks daily for our lives blessings but today, in particular, I hope you find a moment to quietly reflect on all there is to be thankful for. Some years it is easy to see the abundance while others find us struggling to find the flickers of light in prominent darkness.
High on my gratitude list is my newly grown family. First and foremost those three blue eyed boys who charm me anew every day.
Here are the smaller two:
As for Mr. Second Helpings – he is amazing! Which brings me to the announcement. At this very moment he and I are working closely to create a brand new home for this blog. For two and a half years I have been cutting my blogging baby teeth but early next week (fingers crossed) when you visit Our Lady of Second Helpings you will find things have changed. We are attempting to keep enough things the same so you’ll still feel at home when you visit. Did you notice the watermark on the images in this post? That is a little sneaky peak at the new look.
Aside from sprucing things up visually I am most excited about introducing printer friendly recipes! If you have printed a recipe from this site in the past you know that it is a bit of a mess – apologies. After the transition we will still be working behind the scenes to convert all of the recipes published on Our Lady of Second Helpings. If you have a favorite recipe you would like to have made printer friendly right away let us know.
Change can be a little nerve wracking but I am so excited about the opportunities this change may bring. Feel free to provide feed back on what you like and don’t like about the new space. I want Our Lady of Second Helpings to be welcoming and useful when you visit.
Finally – Feed subscribers may need to re-subscribe following the change. If you subscribe to the blog and receive automatic updates when there are new posts please check back next week to make sure you are still subscribed. WordPress internal followers are most likely to be lost in the shuffle due to the way the system is set-up. The best way to stay connected during the switch is to “like” Our Lady of Second Helpings on Facebook. I will keep everyone updated on our status via Facebook.
Now Dear Readers I wish you the very Happiest of Thanksgivings – and brightest of Hanukkahs. Be Well and I’ll see you on the other side!
